My scales just told the Internet....
Microsoft is in a strong position to do this, with many of its technologies aimed at ease of use and broad-based adoption. Wdespread consumer adoption of the Internet of things will lead to occasional mishaps. I remember the title of a conference session: "My scales just told the Internet I'm fat."

Ford gives Microsoft IoT Potential a big vote of confidence
Ford announced Tuesday that it will be using Azure globally to upload telemetric data from its vehicles for predictive customer care and service support. That's going to be a huge amount of data.
