BrightStar, Exodus Unveil Outsourcing Partnership

BrightStar Information Technology Group and Exodus Communications Inc. today unveiled an outsourcing partnership that both companies expect will expand their offerings and customer base. BrightStar will host, manage, and lease E-business applications to large and midsize companies that leverage Exodus' Internet Data Center infrastructure.

Exodus has more than 1,700 customers participating in its network of Internet Data Centers, which provide Web hosting, bandwidth, and management services. BrightStar says the outsourcing relationship with Exodus will enable it to focus on its customers' business objectives of providing secure, reliable, and accessible hosting and management services.

Vicro Manufacturing Corp., a furniture maker, will be among the first companies to use the combined services and will have BrightStar create, manage, and host its new E-commerce Web site. Through the alliance, Vicro's Web site will be hosted in an Exodus Internet Data Center, where BrightStar will supply Internet access and monitoring services for the servers.
