CA Introduces Y2K Service
Computer Associates today launched a year 2000 service for customers who want to verify that their testing and upgrades of CA software are complete.
The Millennium Watch program is designed for companies in the late stages of their year 2000 remediation projects. The free service extends Web, phone, and on-site support to clients with active maintenance and support agreements.
Customers will register testing periods online, automatically adding their company name to a Millennium Watch "Hot Site" list. Companies on this list will get priority access to specific CA resources that are available during these time periods.
CA will assign individual on-site support representatives to eligible clients. A client will pay only the representative's travel and meal expenses, and will not be billed for labor. CA has set up a Web site, www.cai.com/2000, to act as a clearinghouse for information on CA software and services.
