VMware Customers Cautious About vCloud Air, Ready For IBM

As VMworld 2016 opens in Las Vegas, customers already have sharp opinions on VMware's commitment to the public cloud. However, these customers do like the company's alliance with IBM.

Michael Dell affirms independence of VMware
Chairman of Dell Technologies Michael Dell appeared at a press conference with VMware CEO Pat Gelsinger to affirm that VMware would continue to operate as an independent company upon acquisition of EMC/VMware by Dell. Word came down on the second day of VMworld that China has also approved the merger, with a possible close date of Sept. 7. (I didn't know China had to approve it.)
