re: Amazon Startup Contest Winners Strut Stuff
I wholeheartedly agree.
The promotion is certainly nice, but what we found just as beneficial was the internal soul searching that we did to really get to the core of what the "Life Sciences Cloud" means and the true impact it can have for companies and people.
We like to say that "patient safety is good business" so the things a platform like ours does to stop drug counterfeiting, improve market access and ensure global quality manufacturing not only protect patients but also help the businesses involved be much more efficient and responsive to demand so profits go up.
For startups like ours, having a clear mission that goes beyond dollars and cents keeps us thinking big. The nice thing about working on the AWS cloud platform is that you really can start thinking about things like "what if we gave Life Science participants limitless access to global partners, global information and global collaboration"? How can that transform how the industry thinks about making and delivering medicine? We like those big questions!
