Policing those internal users
I think Ivan was speaking in a context of users owning their own resources in a private cloud, enterprise setting. It's not cloud if it's not self service, is a pretty good axiom. If they need a firewall or load balancer, they should be able to provision themselves with the one they think they need. They're paying for it. If they overdo it, there should be charge back, or at least, show back.

Re: Define "internal customer"
It's hard to draw a clear burden. But to me one thing is clear - you need to have a defined criteria about internal customers. Certainly you cannot allow everything to own the super-power. Remember that internal cutomers are more difficult to handle than external ones.

Define "internal customer"
Charlie, Who exactly does Ivan mean when he says "You need to be able to allow your [internal] customer to change the rules on the load balancer and firewall."

If you're talking developers or IT people embedded in business units or at branches, that makes sense. But not sure that even tech-savvy end users would need -- or WANT -- that capability. Talk about an opportunity for a career-altering error.
