Bad For (Small) Business

The reconsolidation of the telecom industry will bring nothing but woe to IT managers in small and medium-sized businesses. We're too small to exert any influence on these behemoths, and with a dwindling number of choices, sometimes there's nowhere to turn. Even before these mergers, the most frustrating part of my job was dealing with companies that provide our voice and data services: countless billing errors, poor service, inability to get someone on the phone, broken promises.

A Better Idea

Your April 10 edition has an article about running Windows on Macintosh computers ("Windows On Macs, Oh My!"). Why would anyone want to do this?

My first thought upon hearing that Apple was going to the Intel platform was that we could now run Mac OS on the vast installed base of low-cost Intel-based commodity PCs! Am I the only one who sees this opportunity?
