Compaq Introduces Management Tools For Himalaya Servers
Compaq today rolled out three new tools for its NonStop Himalaya server package. The NonStop dba/m Database Manager, NonStop ASAP software, and the Web ViewPoint Manager are designed to make what is considered the company's most reliable server system easier to administer and manage.
To simplify management of the NonStop SQL/MP database within the Himalaya system, Compaq's NonStop dba/ma Database Manager allows IT users to automate processes such as database object management and monitoring, query analysis, and batch processing through a graphical user interface.
The NonStop ASAP software gives a networkwide picture of system object status, performance data, and application availability to centralize the monitoring of Himalaya servers' performance. The Web ViewPoint Manager is a browser-based software lets users oversee the Himalaya server network by extracting, analyzing, and reporting any problems with the applications.
