Information technology consulting and services firm Cotelligent today will launch its ePortals Group Services. The new group will offer clients E-commerce, Web design, and custom Internet application development services.
Cotelligent will be able to host those applications via a new relationship with Exodus Communications, a provider of Internet systems, network management, and professional technology services. Exodus, which has relationships with application service providers such as Corio and USinternetworking, will provide Cotelligent with hardware, networking, and infrastructure support for its ePortals services.
The ePortals group will develop enterprise information portals for specific vertical markets, including health care, automotive and aviation manufacturing, consumer packaged goods, financial and insurance services, and utilities, says James Lavelle, president, CEO, and chairman of Cotelligent. "These portals will help companies have better relationships with their customers," he says.
The new division has already signed its first customer, First American Automotive, a San Mateo, Calif., automotive dealership group. The new portal will let First American Automotive's customers log on using a password and ID, according to Cotelligent. A personalized screen will appear with a customer's vehicle make, model, and maintenance records. The site will also provide technical service bulletins and recall notices.
