CSC Buys Netherlands IT Firm
Computer Sciences Corp. today revealed it has acquired SYS-AID, a management consulting and IT services firm based in the Netherlands.
The deal, for which terms were undisclosed, will help CSC expand its IT services business in Europe, CSC officials say. The purchase is in line with CSC's strategy to increase its presence internationally.
SYS-AID, based in Venlo, has revenue of $22.5 million and 260 IT professionals in its operations in the Netherlands, Belgium, and Germany. Among the services provided by SYS-AID are software engineering, systems and network management, and outsourcing. Systems specialties include logistics, finances, and ERP implementations.
In addition to SYS-AID, CSC has acquired six other companies this year, including three in the United States, one in the United Kingdom, one in France, and one in Germany.
