Don't Talk, Just Listen

Microsoft last week released software that allows users to issue spoken natural-language commands to their PDAs or cell phones. The software, called Voice Command, understands normal English and is linked to existing Microsoft applications, so users can successfully tell devices to "Call home," or even ask "What's my next appointment?" Voice Command works on Windows Mobile-based Pocket PC devices and retails for $39.95.
