E-Commerce Features Added To Accounting Software

RealWorld Corp. has upgraded its Web-based financial accounting software package, Expertise.LAN, with modules for electronic commerce, project cost analysis, and currency conversion.

The electronic-commerce module of version 5.5, called Expertise.Commerce, links online transactions with back-end accounting tools so that every online order triggers updates to inventory records, customer balance ledgers, and sales commissions--and immediately posts the transaction to a sales ledger.

The project-costing module tracks expenses for individual projects and loads the figures into a budget ledger. The multicurrency module converts up to 20 currencies for international E-commerce projects.

Expertise.LAN 5.5 is available immediately, priced at $495 to $10,995 per module. The Expertise.Commerce module is sold separately for $2,500.
