Entevo To Unveil Directory-Management Suite

Entevo Corp. next week will launch a new directory-management suite that promises to help system administratorsconsolidate their directories by easing the transition toWindows 2000. DirectManage--which supports multipledirectories, including Novell Directory Services anddirectory services for Microsoft Exchange--comprisesindividual components for administering and migrating userprofiles to new directory systems.

DirectAdmin 2.0 manages directories across Windows NT, NDS,and Windows 2000 from a single management console. Itincludes a role-delegation capability for doling outadministrative tasks to non-IT managers. DirectAdminincludes a scripting engine system administrators can use toautomate repetitive tasks such as password updates. Thesecond component, DirectMigrate for NDS, gives IT managers amechanism to move users, groups, and organizational unitsfrom NDS to NT.

The software, which will ship in March, is priced at $19 permanaged account.
