F&G Life Expands CSC Contract
A growing volume of business supported by Computer Sciences Corp. has led Fidelity & Guaranty Life Insurance Co. to renegotiate a business-process management contract awarded to CSC in 1995.
The new agreement, announced yesterday, expands the original 13-year, $115 million contract to an 18-year, $540 million deal ending in 2013. The renegotiated deal reflects a successful partnership to date and growth in F&G Life's volume of business, according to a CSC spokeswoman.
The original scope of work, however, has not been substantially changed. CSC will continue to handle business operations such as insurance-policy administration, new business processing, underwriting, customer service, and management of supporting IT infrastructures.
