Golden Years Gone In Golden State



California has lost its luster as the land of opportunity for high-tech workers. The state's high-tech industry added just 12,400 jobs last year, down 90% from 113,000 new positions in 2000, according to an American Electronics Association study. The economy affected California tech workers more than those in any other state, the study says, though California still employs the most high-tech workers.
