Mobile security software vendor AirWatch has announced integration of its software with Apple's Configurator.

Apple Configurator is a free tool that allows mass configuration and deployment of iPhones and iPads. Administrators can use it to set up new devices, install apps, and make settings.

AirWatch customers can perform all these same functions with AirWatch alone, but if they prefer to use Configurator they can now do so in combination.

According to AirWatch, the integration allows users to leverage Configurator to automatically install the AirWatch mobile device management software during device registration, and see mobile devices over the air in real time, among other benefits.
