Feds Are More Open to Ideas Than They Seem
There has been a long-simmering debate on whether federal IT execs are truly interested in innovation, or pretend to be, knowing they inevitably must follow a mountain of Federal Acuisition Rules. In my experience, they are as interested and as curious to know what's new as the next IT executive.
But they also need vendors to understand what and where the IT pain points are within federal agencies and make clear how their products/services realistically help an agency CIO, not simply solve a technical problem. The last things feds need is a solution looking for a problem.
