Manugistics, IBM Announce Partnership On Supply Chain Management

The firms' joint solutions will be aimed in part at helping customers take better advantage of radio frequency identification (RFID) and business process management.
Manugistics has announced an alliance with IBM in which IBM will promote Manugistics' supply chain management solutions worldwide, and Manguistics will leverage IBM's database and middleware offerings.

The agreement significantly expands the companies' existing relationship. IBM will promote Manugistics' supply chain solutions worldwide across all major industries with an emphasis on retail, consumer packaged goods, government and high technology markets. Manguistics' J2EE-based applications will use IBM's database and middleware offerings, including DB2 and WebSphere application server, and will run on IBM infrastructure.

The joint solutions will also be aimed at helping customers take better advantage of new technologies including radio frequency identification (RFID) and business process management.
