Ventana Research 2007 BI and Performance Management Scorecard

In its mid-year 2007 report, Ventana Research defines performance management, explains its PerformanceCycle assessment methodology and details the scores and ranking for 13 leading BI and performance management vendors and products.
Participating Vendors, Products and Compliance Percentages

Thirteen of the vendors listed in the "2007 Vendor Scorecard for Performance Management" table at right participated in the research and complied fully with the validation rules and procedures. Vendors are listed in alphabetical order, along with their ranking and percentage of compliance overall and for each step of the PerformanceCycle.

ActiveStrategy, Board MIT, Callidus Software, Clarity Systems, Enkata, Epistemic, IBM, JasperSoft, Lawson, Merced Systems, Panorama, Pentaho, QlikTech and SAS Institute did not respond to our invitation to participate. Microsoft, MicroStrategy, Oracle and SAP were assessed but did not respond to participating in the process; hence, they were not ranked. Cartesis, Hyperion and OutlookSoft were acquired during 2007. Accelrys, AIM Technology, LongView Solutions and Spago participated but did not complete the auditing and validation according the rules and guidelines.

The second table at right lists the products evaluated for each of the vendors listed above.
