Intel's TAP Big Data Platform Gains Healthcare, Cloud Partners

Intel continued with the soft launch of its open source big data application development platform TAP, adding system integrator and cloud service provider partners as well as a handful of healthcare system pilot programs.

The Persistent Mistrust of Big Data in Healthcare
It certainly is an exciting time in history for us to be part of the big data story. As with anything, the future belongs to those individuals who believe in the promise which is before them - the concept of big data is no different. Obviously, Kasabian has bought into that future. Unfortunately, many industries (including Healthcare) still have a mistrust of big data and may expect it to be passing fad. This mistrust causes them to grip tighter and tighter to the past ways of doing things leaving little room for true innovation.
