In Short: 3Com's Rough Quarter
Plummeting sales caused 3Com Corp.'s losses to grow in its fourth quarter, ended May 30. The network equipment vendor had a net loss of $38.4 million, a 61% increase from its loss in the same quarter a year ago. Sales sank 41% for the quarter, to $175 million, partly from the sale of telecom equipment subsidiary CommWorks.
