Intelisys, Oracle To Improve Procurement Products

Intelisys Electronic Commerce LLC and Oracle will unveilonline-procurement offerings this week that add value toexisting products by bundling services.

Intelisys is launching 4Sight, a program that lets users ofits IEC-Enterprise purchasing application compare theirprocesses against a database of benchmarks from companiessuch as Cargill, Sprint, and TRW. Companies can use 4Sightto compare their process costs for purchasing nonproductionsupplies to averages in the database, which is maintained bya unit of AnswerThink Consulting Group Inc. Pricing for4Sight starts at 10% of Intelisys' software license fee,which is $1.05 million for 7,000 users.

Services are a key to Oracle's rollout of FastForwardInternet Procurement, the first online-purchasingapplication in the company's FastForward initiative forcompanies with $20 million to $500 million in revenue. Theproduct includes implementation and training services, aswell as one year of Oracle's around-the-clock Silver-levelsupport. FastForward Internet Procurement includes a Self-Service Purchasing desktop module, a Purchasing & Payablesenterprise application, and catalogs from suppliersCorporate Express and W.W. Grainger. The product will beavailable next week. Pricing hasn't been established.
