Cartoon: If It's Wednesday, This Must Be Interop

Our cartoonist takes on tradeshow overload.

Brian Moore is a cartoonist and illustrator. His first brush with the world of IT was a very part-time gig applying software patches on a TRS-80 Model III. The patches were about four lines long and arrived in the mail, typed on letterhead. He has since moved on to computers ... View Full Bio

Re: food or WiFi
@Alison Yes, I feel you only can really get to a know a place by walking through it, maybe also biking. By riding in a car, you miss a lot. And, of course, the health benefits are great -- even for those who don't have to watch their weight.

Re: food or WiFi
I went to college in Manhattan and was the only one of my friends who didn't gain weight, the Freshman 15! That's because I was too broke to take a cab and my college was far really inconvenient for subways (it took three lines to get there), so I walked everywhere. It was a great way to learn NYC, especially as my school was downtown near Gramercy and my internships were Midtown, with assignments that took me all over the City. At that time, I knew all sorts of cheap but good restaurants!

Re: food or WiFi
@Alison it certainly does. Just last night I heard a speaker marvel at the fact that there are any skinny people around the city with so many options for dining. City dwellers work a lot of it off by walking, I believe. They don't take cars to go two blocks as suburbanites do.
