Google has launched Google Site Search, a rebranded version of Google Custom Search Business Edition that gives businesses a way to offer Google search on their own Web sites.Google Site Search allows for synonym matching and the creation of custom synonym dictionaries; results tweaking, in which admins can make specific documents rank more prominently for certain search terms; and indexing of "dark Web" content, referring to information that might not be picked up Google's standard Web crawler for cataloging. Google Site Search can also be customized to match the look and feel of a Web site.

Google Site Search costs $100 for up to 5,000 pages, $500 for 5,001 to 50,000 pages, $850 for 50,001 to 100,000 pages, and $2,250 for 100,001 to 300,000 pages. Businesses with more than 300,000 pages have to contact Google sales for a quote.InformationWeek, TechCrunch
