Microsoft said it plans on Thursday to discuss reports of possible revisions to its controversial enterprise licensing plans, Licensing 6.0 and Software Assurance.

The company is reportedly looking into revisions to make the plans more palatable to small and medium-sized businesses. Microsoft is considering including additional customer support and free training, according to reports.

Microsoft recently replaced its one-time licensing fees for enterprise software with annual subscriptions entitling users to free upgrades. While Microsoft touts the savings to users who upgrade frequently, the plan has been unpopular with users who do not.
