Unified communications solution provider Mitel has unveiled a new version of its IP-based Mitel Applications Suite.Mitel Applications Suite 1.1 provides audio and Web conferencing, teleworking, mobile and messaging functionality on a single server with a simple administration interface. Preintegrated packages simplify deployment and increase efficiency for SMBs, which, according to the Yankee Group, need help managing their IP communications and high priority productivity applications.

Mitel also announced new releases of its 5200 and 5300 series of IP desk phones, which now work with the Mitel 5000 communications platform, also for SMBs with up to 250 users.Marketwire
