re: Mobile's Big Cyber Monday: RIM's Not Merry
Honestly, what company wants iPhones and Androids circulating? Yes they are good at displaying apps but with no user control, they are simply distractions.
As for companies allowing iPhones and Androids into the mobile workforce, that of course was going to happen. Companies had forever permitted, even encouraged their workforce to use their own cell phones. Now the employees traditional cell phones has been replaced by a smartphone. But that does not mean that they own or support these devices like they do the BlackBerry's.
At the end of the day, I've found every iPhone web developer to be completely unproductive. In fact, I've found almost all my iPhone friends less intelligent and more easily swayed by mass marketing, than versus BlackBerry owners. Sometimes features that enhance productivity are more important than a big screen and fun loading animations.
