Adobe Systems has optimized its Flash Player so that Google and Yahoo can better index dynamic Web content and rich Internet applications (RIAs) and provide more relevant searches.Until now, the search engines could only read static text and links within Shockwave Flash files. Adobe's new technology will work on already created RIAs and content that loads at runtime, meaning developers and site creators won't have to go back and rework their sites. Google has already added the Flash player; Yahoo plans to do so with the next version of Yahoo Search.
"We are initially working with Google and Yahoo! to significantly improve search of this rich content on the Web, and we intend to broaden the availability of this capability to benefit all content publishers, developers and end users," said Adobe GM/VP David Wadhwani, in a statement.CNET News, PC Pro
