Business software vendor SAP announced that it will move all its enterprise application service customers to its new, more extensive but more expensive Enterprise Support services by next year. The new program will ultimately cost customers 22 percent of their annual license fees per year, up from the currently typical 17 percent. While customers will be moved to the new service by the beginning of 2009, the price increase will be phased in gradually through 2012, with a typical customer seeing an increase to 18.3 percent next year.

The new program applies to the Business All-in-One applications that target mid-size companies, but not to the BusinessOne applications for small businesses. It also applies to the the SAP Business Suite applications for large companies.ChannelWeb
