I agree with much of what the article states except about the cost of capital. Currently, rates are about as low as they can ever go for borrowing money. Risk, however, has not changed much and restaurants & food trucks are about as risky a venture as there is. Most fail, and I speak from the lender's side of the desk. Seriously interested people that want to leave the cubicle in favor of new fortunes and guest appearances on the Food Network should create a solid business plan and do the homework before bailing on current employment . . . On the other hand, a really good chili dawg & ice cold root beer is really tough to beat on a summer's day and much cheaper up front!
