Post-breakdown of Microsoft talks, and despite its recent advertising deal with Google, Yahoo's revolving door continues to spin. The most recent to resign are Joshua Schachter, founder of delicious, which Yahoo acquired in 2005; Brad Garlinghouse, who oversaw Mail, Messenger, Groups, Flickr and Zimbra; Qi Lu, EVP of engineering for the Search and Advertising Technology Group; and Vish Makhijan, SVP and GM of Search.
Other recent departures include Makhijan's boss, Jeff Weiner, Flickr co-founders Caterina Fake and Stewart Butterfield, and Jeremy Zawodny , Yahoo?s technology evangelist. All told, around 50 Yahoo execs have left the company since January 2007.
The news is better for Yahoo's e-mail domain, which has added @ymail.com and @rocketmail.com as two more free options. "Many desirable e-mail addresses have already been taken for the yahoo.com domain, as well as for localized versions of the namespace in countries around the world," the company said in a statement.TechCrunch, The New York Times
