Avistar Communications announced it has entered into a deal with
LifeSize Communications to integrate Avistar's technology into LifeSize's HD room-based systems. The terms of the deal were not disclosed, but it is good news for customers of both companies, who can now expect a wider array of video conferencing options.Separately, I recently learned of Avistar's C3 Mobile Teamroom, which basically lets you take a video conferencing on the go. The system includes a high-end speaker/microphone and camera, and it works with just about any screen--including, say, that giant TV in your hotel room.
