Avistar Teams with LifeSize

The BrainYard - Where collaborative minds congregate.
Today Avistar Communications announced it has entered into a deal with LifeSize Communications to integrate Avistar's technology into LifeSize's HD room-based systems. The terms of the deal were not disclosed, but it is good news for customers of both companies, who can now expect a wider array of video conferencing options.Separately, I recently learned of Avistar's C3 Mobile Teamroom, which basically lets you take a video conferencing on the go. The system includes a high-end speaker/microphone and camera, and it works with just about any screen--including, say, that giant TV in your hotel room. Desktop video is perfect for mobile users of course, but now, executives can get a really high-quality video conferencing experiencing when they really need it (and without checking another bag!).Thanksto a "Green Workday" promotion with Yamaha, Avistar is offering the C3 Mobile product at a special rate of $699--a full $500 off the list price of $1199.
