The development, announced Tuesday, comes after CA's June acquisition of Concord Communications. Concord's subsidiary, Aprisma Management Technologies, is now a comprehensive fault and performance management solution complementing the network and systems management of CA's Unicenter Solutions, according to CA.
The integration is the first in a planned series of integrations across Unicenter Network and Systems Management, eHealth and Spectrum. It is expected to provide customers with more end-to-end service levels across large and complex enterprise networks, Bryan Miles, network operations center manager said in a prepared statement.
eHealth will automatically discover network devices managed by Spectrum, so customers won't have to manually re-enter and update configuration dates. eHealth features, like At-A-Glance, Trend and Live Health alarms, will be available directly from Spectrum's OneClick system. That's expected to provide in-depth information for trouble shouting and reduce the amount of time needed to repair network-related problems.
CA said service packs enabling the integration will be available for free to eHealth and Sprectrum customers later this year.
