The package, which bundles together Crystal Reports and Crystal Analysis, offers new ad hoc query capabilities that let users make relatively simple modifications to reports on their own and save those changes. Linking the two tools lets report designers build linkages between formatted reports and interactive, analytic views of information, the company says.
Crystal Decisions also unveiled a release of its Web-based Crystal Analysis Professional software with guided analysis--the ability to record analytical processes for future use--and tighter integration with Microsoft's Excel.
The products are available immediately; licensing alternatives include named user, concurrent user, and processor-based options. Pricing for the Crystal Enterprise Premium package generally starts at $75,000.
