Firefox Releases New Security Update

Version 1.03, posted over the weekend at the browser's Web site, fixes a known JavaScript engine flaw that could allow attackers to take over a system.
The Mozilla Foundation released a security update to the Firefox browser this weekend, fixing several security flaws, including a known JavaScript engine flaw that could allow attackers to take over a system.

Firefox 1.03 can be downloaded from the Mozilla web site.

The foundation also updated the Mozilla browser suite to address some of the same flaws as are present in Firefox.

This is the third security update for Firefox this year.

The Mozilla Web site appeared to be inaccessible beginning at about 11 am Eastern time on Monday; no further information was available about the outage.
