Google, Sony Pictures In Movie Promo

Called "The Da Vinci Code Quest on Google," the contest features puzzles that will be released each day in the form of six different challenges at four difficulty levels.
Google Inc. and Sony Pictures on Monday launched an online contest that will feature daily puzzles until the week before the debut of the movie "The Da Vinci Code".

Called "The Da Vinci Code Quest on Google," the puzzles will be released each day from April 17 to May 11 in the form of six different challenges at four difficulty levels. Those who manage to reach the "Final Challenge" will be eligible for a two-week, first-class, trip to New York, Paris, Rome and London, including hotel and ground transportation. Other prizes include a high-definition TV, Sony Vaio notebook and Sony digital camera.

Google, in cooperation with Sony, created 12,358 original puzzles as part of the promotion. The contest, however, is only available in the United States, and requires players to have a Google account.

The movie, which stars Tom Hanks, involves a murder investigation that unearths a secret that could change the course of history. The movie is based on the popular book "The Da Vinci Code," by Dan Brown.
