More U.S. Adults Are Reading Political Blogs

More than 2 out of 5 online U.S. adults have read a political blog, with more than a quarter reading them once a month or more, a survey shows.

While adults are reading the web journals of political pundits and parties, a lot fewer are posting comments. The Harris Interactive survey in March of 2,630 online adults found less than 1 in 10 had ever posted a comment on one.

Among adults who read political blogs, 15 percent had posted a comment, the research firm said in the study released this week.

In other findings, respondents with a college or postgraduate degree were significantly more likely to have read a political blog than those with less formal education, and men were more likely than woman to them.
