Motorola Teams With Indian Software Firm

Their new company, CanvasM, will implement end-user applications and content services based on Motorola's Global Applications Management Architecture.
BANGALORE, India — Motorola Inc. has entered a joint venture with the Pune, India-based software services provider Tech Mahindra Ltd., the second joint venture company Motorola has announced in two days. The venture is to be called CanvasM and will be based in Noida near New Delhi.

CanvasM will implement end-user applications and content services, consistent service creation, and a delivery and management framework utilizing Motorola's Global Applications Management Architecture (GAMA), Tech Mahindra said in a statement.

Now preparing for an initial public offering, Tech Mahindra is a joint venture between India's Mahindra & Mahindra Group and British Telecom. As in the case of Motorola's joint venture announced Tuesday (July 25) with Wipro Ltd., the announcement did not disclose the nature of investments or equity holding of the respective partners.
