New Software Connects Your Cell Phone And PC

Uses Bluetooth, USB and infrared connections to exchange contacts and files.
A software system to enable the exchange of information between cell phones and PCs will debut at the Consumer Electronics Show next month, the vendor, Mobile Action, said Tuesday.

The company's Handset Manager software will use USB, infrared and Bluetooth connections to connect the phone to the PC. Once connected users, will be able to exchange contact information in outlook, synchronize their calendars, upload and download images and transfer files.

The software initially is aimed at CDMA phones, according to the company. It provided no information on the final release date or pricing for Handset Manager.
