Sony Goes For Fashion Statement With New Notebooks

The Vaio N Series laptops are available in coffee-color brown, white, and black and carry smooth lines and a "simple sense of style," the vendor says.
Sony on Wednesday unveiled a new series of Vaio notebooks that are meant to appeal to the fashion conscious.

The Vaio N Series laptops are available in coffee-color brown, white and black; and carry smooth lines and a "simple sense of style," the consumer electronics maker said.

"These new notebooks are designed to accent your interior design, as well as your life," Mike Abary, vice president of VAIO product marketing for Sony, said in a statement.

The computers feature Intel Core Duo processors on select models and a 15.4-inch screen. They are also Wi-Fi enabled and sport a DVD burner.

The VAIO N Series is scheduled to be available in retailers next month. Pricing starts at $1,000.
