TiVoToGo Mobile TV Service Launched

TiVo has launched a service that enables subscribers to watch television on their laptops.
TiVO said Monday that it has launched its TivoToGo service that enables users to easily transfer television programming to their laptops for viewing when they are mobile.

The enhancement is available at no-cost to TiVO digital video recorder subscribers, the company said in a statement. The company said it has started to distribute the software update to its TiVo Series two set-top boxes.

In addition to giving mobile users the ability to watch programs while they are mobile, TiVoToGo also enables users to perform tasks such as scheduling recording and searching for programming.

After the upgrade is deployed on a users set-top box by connecting the box to their home network and downloading the necessary software to their laptop. The company said in a statement.
