Two Tech Consulting Firms Join Forces

Judith Hurwitz of Hurwitz & Associates will remain president of the well-known research and consulting firm. Baroudi Bloor brings a greater reach into tech trends in Europe.
Research and consulting firm Hurwitz & Associates is buying competitor Baroudi Bloor International. While Hurwitz has focused on trends domestically, Baroudi has advised clients on market changes here and in Europe.

In 1992, Judith Hurwitz started Hurwitz Group, which morphed into Hurwitz & Associates in 2003. Hurwitz will remain president of the combined company. Baroudi founders Carol Baroudi and Robin Bloor will become partners alongside partners Fern Halper, Marcia Kaufman, and Rikki Kirzner. Andrew Joseph, John Levine, Eric Livingston, and Arnold Reinhold remain principals.

Hurwitz has strong market credibility, having anticipated the rise of distributed computing and having helped many a CIO understand why an emerging technology warranted attention.
