J.M. Huber Corp., a $1.5 billion diversified manufacturer, has turned over its PeopleSoft enterprise resource planning systems to reSource Partner Inc., which will migrate the systems to its data center in Columbus, Ohio, in July and upgrade from version 6.0 to version 7.5. The contract, disclosed yesterday, was signed in March, and the transition is already under way.
The value of the five-year contract was not disclosed. Pricing of such contracts depends upon a number of variables, including the total number of employees, since that affects the number of records to be managed and transactions to be processed, says Sam Amore, VP of marketing and business development at reSource Partner.
This is the 11th PeopleSoft outsourcing contract for reSource Partner, which spun off from Borden Inc., also a client, about 2-1/2 years ago. Amore says the company has about 250 employees for integration, hosting, and processing services.
