MCI WorldCom Makes Remote Access Easier
MCI WorldCom Advanced Networks, a division of MCI WorldCom,is rolling out a service to make it easy for even thesmallest offices to connect to a company network.
With Remote Office, MCI WorldCom will connect a Cisco 1600router to a three-to-five-person office LAN. The router isthen connected to the corporate network via 56-Kbps and 128-Kbps ISDN services.
The service, which can eliminate employees' having to dialinto the network separately, is available in 100 countries.Remote Office is aimed at remote-access and virtual privatenetwork customers and supports both IP and Novell IPX.Remote Office is fully configured and installed worldwide byMCI WorldCom.
