re: Microsoft Updates Windows Without User Permission, Apologizes
I think what's neat here is the following:

"If Windows Update doesn't update itself, it stops functioning properly and is not able to recognize when new updates are available, according to Microsoft."

So what they're saying is, their operating system =CAN'T= run without updates ! OMG ! Windows is unstable and will self-destruct without updates. It's an amazing find !

So Microsoft writes software THIS poorly ?? It is humanly impossible for them to write a self-sufficient operating system ? Who would've guessed ! That, my friend, is called RAPEWARE. You get updates to it whether you want it or not.
