CRM app
As a mobile application developer we see alot of apps that are basically websites turned into apps. If Salesforce wants to have their clients use the app it would be better if the app cost was added into their monthly user subscription fee instead of doubling up the user fees.

Sincerely,

Larry Addles

Re: Preannounced Capabilities
The benefit of brochureware is that they get analysis from people like you (and the Twitterverse) ahead of release, when it's cheaper and easier to proactively tweak.

Preannounced Capabilities
This is brochureware for now. Salesforce says it will deliver the SOS service in the second half of the year. The company could not name names of customers that are participating in the beta. I thought Salesforce had turned over a new leaf on preannouncements? The Salesforce1 announcement at last December's Dreamforce was the first in recent memory that was actually available upon announcement.

It's pretty clear that Salesforce is already thinking ahead to sales scenarios for the SOS service, so I'm betting the pre-announcement of today will morph somewhat by the time this stuff goes live -- maybe at this year's October 13-16 Dreamforce event.
