I have always been amazed at how "Science Fiction / Fact" totally failed to anticipate the power and impact of IT since the 1980's. In 'Star Trek' you occasionally see a person passing a 'file' to another for study or whatever. The object being passed is nearly as large as 'Beatle Bailey's' clipboard......

We already have robots interacting with humans, the company I work for installs fully autonomous delivery robots in hospitals.
