By adding LTE, will they not add Bandwidth and Spectrum (i.e. is LTE using existing Spectrum or new Spectrum).
Also, if Bandwidth is REALLY the issue, why wouldn't SMS be nearly free as it PREVENTS (or at least signifcantly reduces the need) phone calls in most cases, but they have tried to charge way too much for SMS, so people who are adding Smartphone will likely start migrating away from SMS and just go to email to avoid the metering.
It really boils down to Cellular providers looking for ways to charge as much as possible to paid high salaries for executives and shareholders.
