I sometimes consider paying LinkedIn to stop emailing me. Social networks can be really annoying.

I do like those big pictures, Joe -- though I gotta say, I don't see myself paying LinkedIn in order to have these stock photo options.

Maybe it's just me, but...
...Am I the only one who finds these new "enhanced" profiles with the huge background picture annoying?  What happened to having streamlined interfaces?

Instead, it's all personalization upon personalization and customization upon customization of personal profiles.

Re: 5 new ways to find new job
Even though LinkedIn has consistently -- and, in many ways, successfully -- marketed itself as the social network for professionals and for professional networking/job hunting/recruiting/etc., it does not have a monopoly on this -- even among the major social networks.  With Facebook's new find features, it's easy to run similar searches on friends, "2nd-degree connections," and others who have various work or educational backgrounds.

And even before these new features were released, I got work/clients through Facebook.

LinkedIn's nice, and I'm not knocking it here, but leverage all of your platforms.  :)

This is nice - with the 5 new ways to stand out, we have 5 new ways to find new job. By the way, I just got a good offer via the job posting on LinkedIn.:-)
