Re: Time to go sell real estate?
Make sure you check out those othe professions. Real Estate brags about the minority of agents who sell a million dollars in a year; that's about $30,000 in income. And even Starbucks is closing some of their coffee shops.

Time to go sell real estate?
Is this one of those careers where, if you don't advance to the top tier of management, you really need to switch to a different industry once you pass 40? In other words, if you haven't made CIO or CTO, it's time to go sell real estate or open a coffee shop.

Stay Calm, Another One is Coming

Thanks Kevin for some great advice for older IT Pros.   I used to love that these articles mainly because they didn't apply to me, but alas it does now.    From getting older to still job hunting, hopping or whatever you want to call it.

I think a major tip was not to hold a grudge.   The fact is business is heartless and most will promise you anything but with age you begin to clearly understand that it is just that - talk.

So don't get angry, sure you can for a little bit - that is just human nature.  But don't take it with you because another one is just around the corner.
